Jan Devlieger, Harpsichord
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) wrote his famous Sinfonias for harpsichord, BWV 787-801, initially with didactic purposes (keyboard and composition instruction) for his eldest son Wilhelm Friedemann. Jan Devlieger precedes each of these beautiful three-part contrapuntal pieces with work from another Bach keyboard collection, such as the Preludes, Inventions, French suites, Partitas and Goldberg Variations.
